Karl has spent her entire life in the arts — painting, drawing, origami, taxidermy, and digital art, to name a few.
✦ Karl was introduced to tattoo artist Mikki Albiero in 2019. She began her apprenticeship in the fall season of that year at the same shop as Mikki which is where she met Lauren.
In 2022, after much deliberation, Karl and Lauren decided to venture out to start a shop of their own — and Birds Eye View Tattoo was born!
Karl appreciates and will create all kinds of tattoos but, as a ornithophile (she loves birds), she loves black and gray bird-related tattoo projects.
When she isn’t tattooing or doing other shop-related projects, she’s working on paintings of birds, drawing birds, or spending time with her husband and cat.
