Karl has spent her entire life with her hand in some sort of creative medium — painting, drawing, origami, taxidermy, and digital art, to name a few.
Making a living by being creative just made sense, which is what lead Karl to tattooing.
✦ Karl was introduced to Homeward Bound Tattoo in 2019 through Mikki Albiero and began her apprenticeship Fall of that year.
In 2022, after much thought and deliberation, Karl decided to venture out with Lauren to start a shop of their own — and Birds Eye View Tattoo was born!
Karl appreciates and will create all kinds of tattoos but, as a ornithophile (she loves birds), she loves black and gray bird-related tattoo projects.
When she isn’t tattooing or doing other shop-related projects, she’s working on paintings of birds, drawing birds, or spending time with her husband and cat.
